The voting card will be used for some simple votes at the discretion of the presiding officer, and if a ballot vote is required for the election of Program Board Members. Remember to have the voting cards with you as you enter general meetings.

What is a “delegate”?
Illinois PTA Bylaws define the voting body. While anyone can attend and enjoy the 2018 National PTA Convention & Expo, only delegates have the ability to vote during business sessions and elections. Some delegates are named directly from Illinois PTA by virtue of their position in the Illinois PTA governance structure. However, most delegates are named by local Unit PTAs in accordance with state PTA bylaws and policies. You must be a PTA member to be named a delegate. Members who are interested in becoming a delegate should contact their local unit, district, or region contact to inquire about receiving voting credentials.
